The late nineteenth century or early twentieth century home at today’s 6442 Route 20 replaced an earlier home of L. I. Powell, which was shown on the 1854 county wall map, the 1867 county atlas, and the 1881 county atlas. Next door to the east was once a home that had been owned by Samuel Brown and A. L. Billings. Coincidentally, the home at 6442 is a mirror image of the former tourist home at today’s 6505 Route 20, which means the two homes may possibly be traced to the same time period, builder, and/or family.
